On Friday 31st March, Sierra Bernia School held its Sports Day for 2017. Students competed to earn points in order to be crowned ‘Sports Team of the Year’. Every single student from pre-nursery to Year 11 took part and earned points for their team in events like relay races, tug of war and sprints. After a passionate day of competition, and a lot of fun! There were only 5 points which separated the top two teams. The Red team gained 4th place with 283 points. The Yellow team secured 3rd place with 294 points. In a close 2nd place, the Blue team had 305 points. With 310 points, the Green team were announced the Champions of 2017! Congratulations to all teams for the great sportsmanship displayed throughout the day. Well done to our team captains Camilo, Ilya, Valera and Love for their marvellous leadership, teachers for co-ordinating the event and of course students who gave 100% effort and got involved to make the day a great success.
